[Frasers Centerpoint Trust AGM rating] My first physical AGM with a buffet served 😋

This is a continuation to the AGM rating series where I will be attending AGM of SG listed companies and rate their AGM and see if they give out freebies or serve good food

On 17 Jan, $FRASERS CENTREPOINT TRUST(J69U.SG)$ (FCT) held its 14th AGM physically at Intercontinental Hotel at 10am. This is the first physical AGM I had attended that served a buffet spread

This is the standard that I was expecting for an AGM There wasn't any separate session where we can ask the management team questions like in SGX's AGM, so the only Q&A time is during the AGM.

It was mentioned that the average occupancy in suburban retail in Singapore is 94%, and it is expected to be stable in the short term. Maybe I should look at buying more REITs with suburban malls since their price had came crashing down as interest rate rises

It is always interesting to hear shareholders ask questions as I can learn a thing or 2 from their line to thinking. As well as hearing more insights and strategies that the management team has.

It was interesting to hear that FCT's recent divestment and investment in certain malls was part of their strategy to ensure that the malls in their portfolio is above 1,500 square feet. They had sold away those that are below 1,500 square feet.

FCT is also focusing on growing their omnichannel retail strategy, where they are making it easy for users to buy online or offline. They are doing it through the Frasers Experience app that have more than 1 million members. 1 million potential customers for online orders, 1 million users to collect data to optimise the mall offerings.

And another interesting piece of news, Century Square's cinema operator might be replaced soon, so as to increase traffic to that mall

So after 2 hours of listening and learning, it is time for food the spread is amazing and here are some highlights.

When I was there queuing, I saw many many hungry ghost. There was a lady that filled her plate full of just prawns... like 200 to 300 prawns... There was also people who take like 20 to 30 fish... #RecessionConfirmed. But what is amazing is that the staff kept topping up the food as it runs out.

Managed to grab myself a 4 course meal and ate to my fill I shall call this food dividend, and I will be back next year for more fish and prawn There were more than enough to go for round 2 too Even after those food hoarder went for their 4 or 5th round to tabao all the prawn and fish and chicken

The fish was amazing and so is the taro cake Frasers have many stocks under them like $FRASERS HOSPITALITY TRUST(ACV.SG)$, $FRASERS LOGISTICS & COM TRUST(BUOU.SG)$ and so on.. and all their AGM is held in the same hotel. So the next AGM that I'm invited to is on the next day at 2pm by $FRASERS PROPERTY LIMITED(TQ5.SG)$. Probably there will be no lunch, but tea break.

I will try to reach there early to see if I can eat their lunch buffet if there is an earlier AGM update you all soon
